President Urges Indonesian Scientists to Collaborate Globally

Deputy for Dissemination and Media Affairs at the Presidential Communication Office (PCO), Noudhy Valdryno, highlighted President Prabowo Subianto’s dedication to boosting the involvement of Indonesian scientists on the international scene. President Prabowo envisions a closer collaboration between Indonesian researchers and global scientists, with a focus on illuminating Indonesia’s path towards becoming a developed nation, as stated by Ryno in Jakarta. The President urges scientists to increase their presence in the public sphere, recognizing their vital role in achieving the administration’s ambitious goal of 8 percent economic growth in the next five years. This emphasis on scientific advancement aligns with the Asta Cita, specifically the fourth pillar, which emphasizes human resource development and technological mastery. To support this vision, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemdiktisaintek) is organizing the 2025 Indonesian Science, Technology, and Industry Convention (KSTI) in Bandung. This convention, initiated by President Prabowo, aims to bring together top scientific minds in STEM fields to advance the nation’s development. With the theme “Science and Technology for Economic Growth and Equity,” KSTI 2025 serves as a collaborative platform uniting academia, industry, government, media, and civil society to accelerate Indonesia’s transformation into a high-value-added industrial economy. The event has attracted over 2,000 scientists from various regions of the country, emphasizing the strategic importance of KSTI in promoting scientific collaboration and economic growth.
