Pemerintah Indonesia kembali memberikan bantuan pangan dalam jumlah besar untuk mendukung masyarakat di seluruh negeri. Sebanyak 18,3 juta keluarga penerima manfaat akan menerima 10 kilogram beras gratis setiap bulan selama dua bulan, beserta bantuan tunai tambahan. Langkah ini merupakan bagian dari paket kebijakan ekonomi nasional yang dicanangkan oleh Presiden Prabowo Subianto guna memperkuat ketahanan rumah tangga di tengah tantangan ekonomi global. Menteri Keuangan Sri Mulyani Indrawati menjelaskan bahwa bantuan beras tersebut akan disalurkan bersamaan dengan tambahan tunai Rp200.000 per bulan selama dua bulan kepada penerima Program Kartu Sembako. Hal ini dilakukan untuk membantu kelompok penerima manfaat yang membutuhkan, yang telah terdaftar dalam sistem bantuan sosial nasional.
Government ensures that each family will receive 20 kilograms of free rice and a total of Rp400,000 in cash during June and July 2025, distributed in two monthly installments. The program targets the most vulnerable and disadvantaged households, already registered in the national social assistance system. It is emphasized that the rice aid program will not distort rice prices at the farmer level. The balance between protecting consumers and ensuring the welfare of farmers remains the main policy principle. The Agriculture Minister will ensure that rice distribution supports the poorest and most vulnerable groups without causing a drop in rice prices at the farmer level. This policy is carefully designed to safeguard the trading interests of farmers while ensuring affordable rice for poor urban households.
